Dyslexia Genius Malaysia is organizing the Dyslexia Awareness Concert 2023 with the theme of Remembering the Great National Artist Tan Sri P Ramlee. More than 200 students from all DGM branches took part in a performance themed around Tan Sri P Ramlee’s films and was attended by approximately 900 people including parents and the public enlivening the Dyslexia awareness concert.<\/p>\n

The event started with the Selamat Datang Dance.. A colorful Malaysian Multiracial Dance by DGM Youth Program Students and DGM Teachers. Followed by playing musical instruments made from used materials from DGM students, and led by Puan Yau.<\/p>\n

Welcome speech from Tuan Jaldeen Ali Founder of Dyslexia Genius Malaysia, followed by the official opening speech and gimmick by hitting the “virtual gong” by Dr Mohd Anuar Abdullah Deputy Director, Instructional Development Sector, Special Education Division, Ministry of Education Malaysia.<\/p>\n

Invited guests who were also present.. Dato Freddie Fernandez, President of the Malaysian Employees Association and Dr. Mardhya Zhagan, Lecturer Faculty of Education, University of Malaya. The organizers also display dyslexia awareness videos to create and increase dyslexia awareness to the community.<\/p>\n

View from the eyes of a dyslexic..Brother Melvin Tan is a Marketing Expert and Icon DGM..conveying his experience before success and words of encouragement to students and parents. The students from the Youth Program also performed Singing and Sketches from the song Bulan Di Pagar Bintang. Students from all branches of DGM presented skits, dances and songs from funny, interesting and colorful films.<\/p>\n

The performances featured are not only to unearth talent, but also to help students overcome problems of low self-confidence, coordination and also group and social activities..<\/p>\n

There will also be a prize giving event for the winner of the viral video content organized by DGM..

There was also a presentation of prizes to the winners of the Independence Video organized by the DGM Youth Program.

The concert ended with the Premiere of the Dyslexia Awareness Video from DGM entitled “Jiwa Yang Bersedih” sung by Adek Zareen Putri.. credit to the original song owner and singer Ghea Indrawari. Ended with all the participating students bringing on stage dyslexia awareness words.<\/p>\n

An event full of colors.. great and meaningful performances..<\/p>\n
